1. a)
Design a coherent DPSK system to transmit data at rate
of 90kbps. If AWGN has N0 = 10-6 and has to achieve a
BER<10-6, find the bandwidth of the system and the
minimum signal amplitude at the receiver.

Explain the optimum receiver for an AWGN channel with
ISI using relevant mathematical expression and block
diagram.

Give a brief note on regenerative repeaters and link budget
analysis.

Discuss about probability of error in detection of PAM

interference to signal power at the receiver is 23db,
determine the processing gain required to achieve reliable
communication.
