1. a)
Design a coherent DPSK system to transmit data at rate of 90kbps. If AWGN has N0 = 10-6 and has to achieve a BER<10-6, find the bandwidth of the system and the minimum signal amplitude at the receiver.

Explain the optimum receiver for an AWGN channel with ISI using relevant mathematical expression and block diagram.

The SNR required a the detector to achieve reliable communication in DSSS system is 10db. If the interference to signal power at the receiver is 23db, determine the processing gain required to achieve reliable communication.

Explain the concept of OFDM and its applications with neat diagram.

With the help of block diagram explain the working of frequency hopped spread spectrum technique.
