Manufacturing Process
Note : i) Attempt any five questions.

a) Discuss the various types of casting processes and their applications. (7)
विभिन्न प्रकार की कास्टिंग प्रक्रियाओं और उनके अनुप्रयोगों पर चर्चा करें।
b) Explain the role of gating, runners, and risers in casting and how they influence the quality of the final cast product. (7)
कास्टिंग में गेटिंग, रनर्स और राइज़र्स की भूमिका और अंतिम उत्पाद की गुणवत्ता पर उनके प्रभाव के बारे में बताएँ।
a) Describe the mechanical working of metals and its significance in manufacturing. (7)
धातुओं की यांत्रिक कार्यप्रणाली तथा विनिर्माण में इसके महत्व का वर्णन करें।
b) Compare and contrast hot and cold rolling techniques and their impact on material properties. (7)
गर्म और ठंडी रोलिंग तकनीकों की तुलना और अंतर बताएँ तथा सामग्री के गुणों पर उनके प्रभाव का पता लगाएँ।
a) Outline the different types of welding methods and their suitability for various materials. (7)
विभिन्न प्रकार की वेल्डिंग विधियों और विभिन्न सामग्रियों के लिए उनकी उपयुक्तता की रूपरेखा बताएँ।
