Note:
i) Attempt any five questions.

a) Define weathering. List and explain in detail about the different factors which cause weathering?
अपरदन को परिभाषित करें। अपरदन उत्पन्न करने वाले विभिन्न कारकों की सूची बनाएं और विस्तार से समझाइए।
b) Discuss briefly about how ground water is formed? Write the importance of ground water.
भौमजल कैसे बनता है, संक्षेप में चर्चा कीजिए। भूजल का महत्व लिखिए।
a) List and explain in detail about the major causes of earthquake.
भूकंप के प्रमुख कारणों की सूची बनाइए और विस्तार से समझाइए।
b) What are essential minerals in engineering geology? What are essential minerals in geology explain with an example?
इंजीनियरिंग भूविज्ञान में खनिज क्या हैं? भूविज्ञान में आवश्यक खनिज क्या हैं? उदाहरण सहित समझाइए।
a) Explain in detail about the properties that help geologists to identify a mineral in a rock with an example.
उदाहरण सहित चट्टान में खनिज की पहचान करने में भूवैज्ञानिकों की सहायता करने वाले गुणों के बारे में विस्तार से बताएं।
b) Discuss in detail about element of crystals and crystal systems.
क्रिस्टल और क्रिस्टल सिस्टम के तत्व के बारे में विस्तार से चर्चा करें।
a) What are igneous rocks? List the characteristics of Igneous Rocks.
आग्नेय चट्टानें क्या होती हैं? आग्नेय चट्टानों की विशेषताओं की सूची बनाइए।
b) What are metamorphic rocks? Explain about the most commonly used metamorphic rocks in civil engineering.
रूपांतरित चट्टानें क्या होती हैं? सिविल इंजीनियरिंग में सबसे अधिक इस्तेमाल होने वाली मेटामॉर्फिक चट्टानों के बारे में बताएं।
a) What are sedimentary rocks? Explain with a neat sketch the important of a formation of sedimentary rocks.

b) What are Folds? Explain any two types of Folds in detail.
